Launched in 2001 by DG-TREN, the TEMPO programme (Trans European Intelligent Transport Systems projects), serves to harmonise deployment of ITS in order to improve the continuity and the quality of services on the European road network.

TEMPO is a DG-TREN programme extending over a 6 year period (2001-2006). For the SERTI project, the investment is totalling 160 million € of which 30 million € is EC funding.



SERTI, 25 partners, 1 ambition

The SERTI partners are implementing traffic management and user information services using Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) to improve safety and comfort on the road corridors linking Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Andorra.


SERTI, striding ahead !

User information services, cross-border traffic management co-operations, data-broadcasting, data exchange and traffic management equipment etc. Since 1997, considerable co-operation and co-ordination have been developed on both National and European scale to improve safety and reduce congestion on the SERTI network.
